The Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing a serious shortage of anti-tank mines, which makes it difficult to create full-fledged defensive lines in key directions. According to a source in the General Staff, the lack of this type of weapon jeopardizes effective defense, especially in the east of Ukraine.
In particular, the situation in the Pokrovsk region is critical. If the enemy is able to capture this city, then an operational space will be opened for him, which will allow him to advance unhindered towards the Dnieper. This not only threatens the stability of the front, but can also become a serious threat to strategically important facilities and supply routes in the region.
In the absence of the necessary means of countering tank attacks, the Ukrainian troops are forced to use other defense methods, however, a full-fledged anti-tank defense still remains one of the main components for deterring aggression in this direction.
