Former People's Deputy and leader of the band "Ocean Elsa" Sviatoslav Vakarchuk submitted an electronic declaration of discharge from military service. The document reflects Vakarchuk's income for the period from January to the beginning of May 2024. In particular, he mentioned 89.6 thousand hryvnias received in the form of financial support for military service, without specifying the name of the military unit that paid these funds.
In addition, in the first four months of this year, Vakarchuk received 34.8 thousand hryvnias in salary from Supersimetria LLC, which he owns. Another 30,000 hryvnias of fees were paid to him by the "Voice" party, which he led during the extraordinary parliamentary elections of 2019 and from which he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada.
Vakarchuk also declared cash in the amount of 5.4 million hryvnias, 200 thousand dollars and 125 thousand euros. He keeps 30 thousand hryvnias and 205.6 thousand dollars in bank accounts.
Separately, in 2023, Vakarchuk lent 27,000 dollars to the Ukrainian singer Khrystyna Solova.
In general, for the years 2022-2023, Vakarchuk received 764.6 thousand hryvnias in the form of financial support for military service.
In the first days of the war, Lieutenant Vakarchuk joined the territorial recruitment center and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was sent to the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
"The Lviv administration actually gave me a business trip to travel around Ukraine and inspire people. This is what it looks like. I am in my place, and if necessary, I will certainly defend the country with weapons in my hands," Vakarchuk said at the time.
