The State Bureau of Investigation detained the current deputy of the Zhytomyr Regional Council for attempting fraudulent seizure. As it turned out, the official demanded $ 10,000 in exchange for the promise to "arrange" a citizen for a competitive position in a state body.
According to the investigation, in March 2025 the deputy went to the man who was in search of work and offered his "services". In conversations, he assured that he has influential acquaintances in power structures and can "agree on a positive result of selection. The cost of "influence" is ten thousand dollars.
The transfer of the entire specified amount took place on April 3 in Kiev. The DBR employees detained the official on hot "immediately after receiving the funds.
At this time, the court has chosen a measure of restraint - night arrest. At the same time, pre -trial investigation is ongoing. Investigators of the DBR check information on possible participation in the scheme of other persons, including representatives of state bodies and law enforcement agencies.
In the case of guilt of the deputy, it threatens imprisonment for a term of up to 8 years with confiscation of property.
