The National Anti -Corruption Bureau of Ukraine exposed the deputy of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, which established a channel of illegal crossing of men of conscript age across the state border. According to the investigation, the cost of "service" was 10 thousand euros per person.
According to the case file, the deputy offered the illegal crossing of the border with the so -called "black trails" - forest routes bypassing official checkpoints. The scheme also includes a "authoritative person", which had connections among the border guards and guaranteed unimpeded movement.
In addition to the crossing itself, the deputy offered a "full service": the organization of transport from Kiev to the border area, and if necessary - also return entry to Ukraine for the client.
On hot - during the transfer of a bribe of 20 thousand euros - the participants of the scheme detained NABU detectives.
Although the NABU official message is not indicated, Transcarpathian journalist Vitaliy Glagola states that it is a deputy of the regional council from the party "Native Transcarpathia" Alexander Antal.
The investigation is ongoing. If the defendants are proved in court, they may be threatened with up to 9 years in prison with confiscation of property.
