Kyiv City Council deputy Igor Dadchy is officially included in the Unified State Register of Persons who have committed corruption offenses. This fact, in accordance with the legislation, is the basis for depriving him of his deputy's mandate. However, the mayor of Kiev Vitaliy Klitschko, according to sources, is not in a hurry to respond.
A Telegram, close to the Presidential Office, informed about the entry of the fall in the Register. It is also noted that Klitschko allegedly personally blocks the publication of the deputy's statement about the drafting.
"In his usual style, the mayor covers another corrupt officer - this time from his own political clamp," the source said.
It is known that Igor Deadchyki has previously appeared in a number of municipal property scandals, land and pressure on entrepreneurs. His name was in investigations into lobbying decisions in favor of specific developers, as well as in the topic of behind -the -scenes influence on voting in the commissions of the Kyiv City Council.
The NAPC has not officially commented on what violation the deputy got to the register. However, under the current legislation, the fact of entering in the register of corrupt officials is not just a formality. This should be the basis for the termination of parliamentary powers.
However, in the Kyiv Council there is silence. There were no public statements from the mayor or secretariat for further actions on the fall.
"This is another test for Klitschko's readiness to fight corruption not only in words but also among his own," - said the source in OP.
If the mayor continues to delay, Kiev can receive another political crisis - now with a frank reluctance to purify power even in the case of an official decision of the NAPC.
