The deputy of the Irpin city council Alexander Pikulik, known as the chairman of the Commission on Land Relations, Forest and Environmental Issues, was at the Center for a high -profile investigation. It is checked for submission of false data in declarations over the past five years (2018-2023).
Criminal proceedings were the result of the activity of the NGO for a better life, which appealed to the Office of the Prosecutor General with the relevant statement. According to the case file, law enforcement officers found serious differences in the declarations of Pikulik, which became the basis for the opening of a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Investigators say that for many years the deputy has "forgotten" to declare a large part of his property. In particular:
- Real estate and property: The deputy did not specify the right to use land and real estate that actually belong to it.
- Family Status: The politician has not declared his civilian wife, with whom he lives for more than 25 years and has a common daughter. As it turned out, significant assets, including business and property, have been issued on the wife.
- Land: 15 acres of land, which was to be declared by 2023, also "fell out of declarations. It is estimated that the cost of this land in the area is at least $ 10,000 per hundred.
Particular attention was paid to the financial operations of the Pikulic. In 2020, he declared an income of over UAH 41 million from the sale of land plots of Novus Ukraine. However, these areas were not listed in its previous declarations as assets.
Investigators have already appealed to the court to provide access to the full declarations of the deputy for 2018-2023. These documents can be key evidence in the case.
Oleksandr Pikulik, as the chairman of the land commission, had a significant impact on land distribution in the region. Its possible conflict of interests causes indignation to the public, which has long demanded more transparency in the work of local deputies.
