The deputy of the Lviv Regional Council from the Servant of the People party, Yuriy Doskich, may become a subject of criminal proceedings after the National Agency for Corruption Prevention found signs of inaccurate data in his declaration for more than 15 million hryvnias. As reported by 368.media, in August 2024, the NACP completed a full check of declarations using a new risk-based approach and identified a number of violations, including in Doskich's declaration for 2021. According to the agency's conclusion, the document contained signs of inaccurate information in the amount of 15.1 million hryvnias. Materials under Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (declaration of inaccurate information) were sent to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Doskich himself publicly stated that he considered the NACP's actions unlawful, and filed a lawsuit with the court demanding that the agency's certificate be declared illegal and canceled. He claims that he had no intention of indicating unreliable or inaccurate information in the 2021 declaration. At the same time, the deputy's lawyers lost the case in both the first and appellate instances. The ruling to refuse to satisfy the claim entered into force in August. Doskich's lawyers are currently appealing this decision in the Supreme Court. According to media reports, on October 13, the Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court granted the petition of lawyer Natalia Valchuk and extended the deadline for a cassation appeal. The case is being considered by Judge Bilak M.V.
Journalists write that after the defeat in the courts, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau is preparing to declare Yuriy Doskich under suspicion. At the same time, the deputy himself, according to sources, is allegedly trying to urgently arrange mobilization to one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This may be an attempt to minimize the risks of being brought to criminal responsibility, 368.media indicates.
Yuriy Doskich is not only a deputy of the Lviv Regional Council, but also the owner of the Gal-Kat enterprise. This company is involved in a separate case about possible corruption in Ukrzaliznytsia.
