Liliya Chorna, a deputy of the Obukhiv District Council of the Kyiv Region, lived in Russia for a long time and, even after the full-scale invasion, maintains property and bank accounts in the aggressor country.
From 2016 to 2020, Chorna lived in the Kursk region, where she worked as an English teacher and ran a business. During this time, she purchased a plot of land and a house, regularly attended concerts in various cities of the Russian Federation, and kept savings in Russian rubles - in cash and in an account at Sberbank.
Upon returning to Ukraine, Chorna became a deputy of the district council and received the position of assistant to the people's deputy from the banned "OPZZH" Fedor Khrystenko, who disappeared from the public space after February 24, 2022 and stopped attending parliamentary sessions.
According to the declarations, in 2021, Liliya Chorna received UAH 57,960 in salary as an assistant to a people's deputy, and in 2022, UAH 25,760. In addition, in 2020, she sold her Hyundai Solaris car to a citizen of the Russian Federation, Yegor Pankov, for UAH 150,000.
In Russian state registers, the deputy appears under the double surname Shevlyakov-Chorna - from her previous marriage to a Russian citizen, Denis Shevlyakov. At the same time, local authorities know her as the stepdaughter of pro-Russian MP Viktor Chorny, elected from the “OPZZH”. He is currently a member of the “Platform for Life and Peace” parliamentary group and has repeatedly appeared in corruption scandals.
Sources in the Obukhiv District Council claim that Chorna repeatedly booked tickets to Russia even after the war began. Her Russian real estate and bank accounts remain active, despite her status as a sitting MP in Ukraine.
