In Zaporizhia, law enforcement officers reported suspicions against a city council deputy who, during the occupation of Kamianka-Dniprovska, collaborated with the Russians and exported tens of thousands of tons of Ukrainian grain to the Russian Federation.
As reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, the person involved in the case was a deputy of the Kamiansk-Dnipro City Council, elected from the banned in Ukraine party OPZZH.
The investigation established that in the summer of 2022, after the start of a full-scale war, the suspect, while in the temporarily occupied territory, arbitrarily disposed of the harvest of the farm, where he had previously held a managerial position.
Without the consent of the legal owner, he organized the export of almost 24 thousand tons of agricultural products from the territory of Kamyanka-Dniprovska. According to the investigation, the entire volume was transferred to the Russian Federation.
According to the conclusions of the economic examination, the economy suffered more than 56 million hryvnia in losses.
Based on the collected evidence, the deputy was charged with two articles at once:
-
Part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — collaborative activity,
-
Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - embezzlement of property on an especially large scale in conditions of martial law.
Investigative actions are currently ongoing. Law enforcement officers are investigating the possible participation of other individuals in the scheme to transfer Ukrainian products to the occupiers.
