The Supreme Anti -Corruption Court (HAVS) was transferred to the former Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Igor Nasalik and the former head of the Ministry of Energy Oil and Gas Department. According to the investigation, their actions made the state budget losses worth UAH 1.5 billion.
According to the Attorney General's office, the defendants changed the terms of the contracts of gas distribution systems, which allowed commercial structures illegal to receive profits for the use of state property.
In particular, contracts with gas distribution systems operators were concluded with protocols of differences, the content of which did not correspond to the real purpose of contractual relations. This made it possible for private companies to avoid paying funds for the operation of state property, which causes the budget to have undergone 1.5 billion hryvnias.
According to the investigation, the agreements were concluded in the interests of the structures of a well -known businessman, which led to significant financial losses of the state.
Officials are charged with abuse of office by prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The case has now been transferred to the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court, where judges will consider the evidence and make decisions on the responsibility of the accused.
We will remind, on February 1, 2023 the State Bureau of Investigation announced the suspicion of excerpts of energy Igor Nasalik. Subsequently, the suspicion was changed and reported on new circumstances of the case concerning the abuse of power. After this, law enforcement officers also declared suspicion for the former head of the Ministry of Energy, who is suspected of facilitating the implementation of the corruption scheme.
