Nutritionists have named an inexpensive fish that is healthier than salmon

Sardines, one of the most affordable fish on Ukrainian store shelves, are once again in the spotlight of nutritionists. Experts emphasize that despite their status as "cheap canned food," this fish contains significant doses of Omega-3, which help normalize blood pressure, support heart and vascular health, and have a positive effect on mood and stress resistance.

In addition to beneficial fatty acids, sardines are rich in easily digestible protein and vitamin D, which is important for bone strength, immunity, and overall well-being. That is why the product is recommended at any age and is suitable for both dietary and sports nutrition.

Nutritionists recognize the benefits of salmon, but in terms of price/value, sardines remain a more profitable option. Experts advise choosing canned food from trusted manufacturers and buying it in supermarkets or large stores.
