The girl in Ternopil brought drugs to school

In Ternopil, a 15-year-old schoolgirl brought a psychotropic substance to the school. The suspicious powder pack was discovered by the educational safety inspector after other students paid attention to the strange behavior of the girl and reported adults.

The incident happened during the school day. After reporting the students, the inspector conducted a check, during which the girl found a plastic bag with a powdery substance in the backpack. The investigative group was called to the place. The substance was removed and sent for examination to establish the exact composition.

The girl refused to explain where she took the drugs and why she brought them to school.

The Ternopil police opened criminal proceedings. The sanction of the article by which the girl's actions are qualified as follows:

  • fine up to 51 thousand hryvnias,

  • Corrections for a term up to two years,

  • Probial supervision of up to five years,

  • restraint of liberty for the same term.

In addition, law enforcement officers made an administrative protocol on a minor's parents for improper performance of parental duties. They are threatened with a fine of up to UAH 1 700.
