The National Agency for Corruption Prevention has completed a full audit of the 2023 declaration of Myroslav Mykhailovych Denys, Head of the Department of Resource and Economic Support and Capital Construction of the State Migration Service of Ukraine. The audit revealed inaccurate information totaling UAH 7.74 million.
According to the NACP, the official and his wife declared cash in the amount of 13.4 million hryvnias. At the same time, the agency recognized only 6.07 million hryvnias received from the sale of a residential building and land plot in 2024 as justified and confirmed.
The audit also found discrepancies regarding cash assets in bank accounts. In addition, the declaration did not include three bank accounts belonging to the official himself and his wife.
The NACP paid special attention to real estate that was not reflected in the reporting. This includes an apartment with an area of 75.1 m² in Mukachevo, owned by the wife, a residential building with an area of 240.8 m², and a land plot with an area of 1,000 m² in Mukachevo, which were owned by the declarant until January 29, 2024. In addition, a non-residential premises with an area of 66.5 m², a land plot with an area of 514 m², and another apartment with an area of 46.7 m² in Mukachevo were not declared.
During the inspection, it was also found that the declaration indicated an incorrect position category. The corresponding field indicated that the declarant did not belong to a person holding a responsible position, although his position belongs to category "B" of the civil service.
According to the NACP's conclusions, the identified violations may contain signs of an offense provided for in Part Two of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - submission of knowingly false information in a declaration. The official will be given the opportunity to submit a corrected declaration, and the inspection materials will be transferred to law enforcement agencies for further legal assessment.
