Well-known public figure and military man Dmytro Korchinsky has criticized journalist Yuriy Butusov for his actions during the war, urging him to stop criticizing the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and spreading pessimistic sentiments, which, according to Korchinsky, work in favor of the enemy. According to Korchinsky, Butusov, as a person without a military education, has no right to criticize senior officers, whose military training and experience are among the best in the world.
Korchinsky also emphasized that Butusov avoided military service during the war and now, with his publications, is contributing to the spread of disillusionment among the population, which could help Russia in its hybrid war against Ukraine. Instead of inciting negativity, Korchinsky advised Butusov to use his talent for the benefit of victory, increasing the authority of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and supporting the morale of Ukrainians.
He also recalled that to date, Ukrainian troops have achieved significant successes on the front, including the liberation of several important territories, the destruction of part of the Russian fleet, and the reduction of aggression in the southern direction. All of these achievements, according to Korchynsky, need to be supported, not undermined.
