Dmytro Razumkov: military fortifications – chaos and lack of coordination

Ukraine is actively working to strengthen its defenses in times of war, but according to former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov, the country's fortification process leaves much to be desired. In a recent interview, he noted that "fortification activities are being carried out by everyone who needs it and who doesn't," which has resulted in poor coordination and chaos in the organization of defense structures.

According to the People's Deputy, he has information according to which the construction of fortifications is being carried out by those who should have nothing to do with it.

Why are regional administrations given the right to dispose of the relevant funds? This is unprofessionalism, a waste of responsibility and public funds, and crazy bureaucracy! Because of this, very often defense structures are built of poor quality, which our defenders will not even enter!

He emphasized that one structure should be responsible for the construction, but the authorities ordered otherwise. He also noted that when the military deals with this issue, the fortifications are built qualitatively.

But the fortifications that the military builds are usually built very high quality! Therefore, if one structure is responsible for this most important area, it will be much easier for both the Parliament and Ukrainian society to control its activities.
