In Ukraine, active work is being done to strengthen the defense in the conditions of war, however, according to the former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov, the process of fortification in the country leaves much to be desired. In his recent interview, he noted that "fortification activity is engaged in by everyone who needs it and who doesn't need it", which as a result led to improper coordination and chaos in the organization of defense structures.
According to the people's deputy, he has information according to which the construction of fortifications is being done by those who should have nothing to do with it.
Why is the right to dispose of the relevant funds given to regional administrations? This is unprofessionalism, dispersion of responsibility and public funds and crazy bureaucracy! Because of this, very often defensive structures are built of poor quality, which our defenders will not even enter!
He emphasized that one structure is responsible for the buildings, but the authorities ordered otherwise. He also noted that when the military deals with this issue, the fortifications are built with high quality.
But those fortifications built by the military are usually built very well! Therefore, if one structure is responsible for this most important sphere, it will be much easier for the Parliament and the Ukrainian society to control its activities.
