Information has appeared online that Russia is treating drones with unknown substances that can cause chemical burns. However, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, denied these claims, emphasizing that no cases of such burns have been recorded in the region.
"The network was shaken by the news - the enemy is using a chemical substance in UAVs. When it comes into contact with the skin, it causes burns. Please - do not panic! There has been no such case in our region. This is officially confirmed by the regional health department," Lysak noted in his statement.
At the same time, he stressed the importance of following safety rules: "Do not touch suspicious objects. If you see any, contact emergency services immediately. Call 101 or 102.".
This information was confirmed by the spokesman for the Joint Defense Forces of Ukraine "Tavria" Dmitry Lykhovii, who reported that the Russian occupiers use ammunition with toxic substances every day in the area of responsibility of their troops.
Russian forces are known to be using banned chemical weapons, including chloropicrin, in fighting along the entire front line in Ukraine. These actions are believed to be aimed at weakening Ukrainian forces and forcing them to retreat from fortified positions.
