The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have intensified the preparation of the Dnipropetrovsk region for defense amid the aggravation of the situation on the front. According to Ivan Tymochko, Chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Land Forces of the AFU, this initiative is a response to the growing threats from the Russian Federation, which is increasing the number of airstrikes and drone attacks.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have reportedly begun building defensive fortifications in the Dnipropetrovsk region and preparing the region for defense, according to French OSINT analyst Clement Molin.
“Engineering troops began building fortifications behind Pokrovskoye, as well as the first ones on the way to the Dnieper,” Mollin wrote on the “X” network.
He also published a photo in which he marked with red lines the places where new defensive fortifications were being built.
The General Staff has not yet commented on this information, but Ivan Tymochko, the head of the Council of Reservists of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, emphasized on the air of "Ranok.LIVE" that the information released by the OSINT analyst only increases the number of enemy aircraft and drone strikes in these directions.
"I would always leave the topic of the location of fortifications out of the spotlight. Because as soon as such information appears, the enemy immediately begins to adapt its tactics and strategies to it," said Tymochko.
According to him, defensive fortifications in the Dnipropetrovsk region are not unique, because to one degree or another they are built everywhere, especially in the suburbs.
Tymochko called it “a kind of story” when a foreigner indicates the specific location of fortifications with exact coordinates.
"Perhaps for civilians this will be a pledge of some peace. But they heard and forgot. And the enemy does not forget, he begins to additionally increase strike forces in this direction," Tymochko emphasized.
As a reminder, on October 3, Ivan Tymochko stated that the defense of Vugledar had accomplished its tasks, as the Russians were unable to launch their offensive.
