In Ukraine, power outage schedules may be canceled by the end of this week, Stanislav Ignatiev, an energy expert and head of the Council of the Ukrainian Association of Renewable Energy, said on Kyiv24.
According to the expert, several factors will affect the restoration of stable electricity supply and the lifting of restrictions. Among them are the completion of emergency works, the absence of new large-scale Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy system, and favorable weather conditions.
Ignatiev noted that if it is possible to avoid large-scale shelling of the energy infrastructure and there are no severe frosts, then Ukraine will be able to do without the use of blackout schedules by the end of this week. Weather forecasts for the coming days also add to optimism: the anticyclone that came to Ukraine from Siberia should help improve the situation, as no sharp temperature drops are expected.
"If these conditions persist, we will be able to complete emergency work and avoid blackouts. However, if new threats do appear, the blackout schedules may be restored," the expert added.
Thus, Ukrainians can expect a more stable supply of electricity, however, provided there are no new attacks and favorable weather.
