The other day, an indictment was sent to the court against the People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 9th convocation from the banned party "OPZZH" and his former assistant. Although the name of the deputy is not officially disclosed, according to the available materials it can be clearly identified that it is Nestor Shufrych.
The charges brought against the deputy are heavy and serious. Shufrych is suspected of financing actions aimed at violent change and overthrow of the constitutional system of Ukraine, as well as of treason. His cooperation with Volodymyr Sivkovich, a known traitor and agent of Russian influence, in carrying out subversive activities to the detriment of the state and information security of Ukraine is a vivid example of political treason.
Shufrych actively used his status as a people's deputy to promote the interests of Russia. He not only regularly published and commented on materials aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian leadership, but also submitted parliamentary requests prepared in advance for him, aimed at complicating Ukraine's international relations, aggravating the socio-political situation in the country and forming a public mood favorable to the Russian Federation.
The fact that back in 2013 Shufrych purchased real estate in Crimea, which he later transferred to the protection of the Russian paramilitary formation after the annexation of the peninsula, is especially cynical. He was aware that such a decision would lead to the financing of occupation structures, but, despite this, he continued to cooperate. Almost 650,000 rubles were transferred for security services.
Currently, Shufrych faces up to 15 years in prison. The accused are already in custody.
