The Czech Republic collected enough money to purchase only 300,000 ammunition for Ukraine, not 800,000, as the country's president had previously proposed.

"We managed to collect enough money to buy the first batch of 300,000 artillery shells. But our goal is to deliver much more!" Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala published a post on X that contradicts the previous statement of President Petr Pavel.

The day before, Pavel told reporters that his country had secured enough money to buy 800,000 artillery shells outside the EU for Ukraine, which is experiencing a shortage of ammunition.
