The daughter of the famous linguist and public figure Iryna Farion, Sofia Osoba, has announced her intention to continue her mother's work. Her plans include creating a public organization and a charitable foundation.
"We plan to create a public organization, a charitable foundation. We have already released a stamp with an envelope. Then we plan to make commemorative signs. We are also thinking of publishing a book of her quotes sometime in October, which is almost ready, called "Eagles Do Not Confess to Hyenas." We will continue the projects she did," Sofia noted in an interview.
Sofia also noted that there are plans to maintain her mother's YouTube channel, but the family is taking time to recover from the loss, waiting for the fortieth day since her death. In addition, in Lviv they plan to name a street in honor of Iryna Farion, and in Kyiv - to install a monument or a commemorative plaque. There is also an initiative to award her the title of Hero of Ukraine.
“I haven't heard anything about the monument, but I think we need to do everything we can to remember Iryna Farion. Everyone wants to help us. But before we help, we need to agree with the family,” Sofia emphasized.
She also noted that she does not plan to enter politics, but will continue her mother's work in other areas.
