Daughter Farion is going to continue her mother's business

The daughter of the famous linguist and public figure Iryna Farion, Sofia Osoba, announced her intention to continue her mother's work. Her plans include the creation of a public organization and a charity fund.

"We plan to create a public organization, a charity fund. A stamp with an envelope has already been issued. Then we plan to make memorial signs. We are also thinking of publishing a book of her quotes sometime in October, which is almost ready, entitled "Eagles do not confess to hyenas". We will continue the projects she did," Sofia said in an interview.

Sofia also noted that there are plans to run her mother's YouTube channel, but the family is taking time to recover from the loss, waiting for the fortieth day since her death. In addition, in Lviv they plan to name a street in honor of Iryna Farion, and in Kyiv - to install a monument or a commemorative plaque. There is also an initiative to award her the title of Hero of Ukraine.

"I haven't heard anything about the monument, but I think that everything should be done to remember Iryna Farion. Everyone wants to help us. But before helping, you need to agree with the family," Sofia stressed.

She also noted that she does not plan to enter politics, but will continue her mother's work in other areas.

The murder of Iryna Farion: what is known

On July 19, an attempt was made on Iryna Farion. She received a head wound as a result of a shot. Doctors tried to save her, but she died in the hospital that evening.

On July 25, it became known about the arrest of the murder suspect - 18-year-old Vyacheslav Zinchenko from Dnipro. He refused to testify, exercising his right to do so. The suspect's lawyer stated that there is no evidence of his client's involvement in the crime, and the evidence base is dubious.
