Today, the weather in Ukraine will be affected by an active atmospheric front, which will cause precipitation and a significant drop in temperature in some regions. According to meteorologists, rain, sleet in places, thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind are expected.
As meteorologist Igor Kibalchych reported, at night, rain and wet snow will cover the western and northern regions, and during the day, bad weather will spread almost throughout the country, except for Crimea and the Sea of Azov.
Temperature contrasts will be noticeable:
– at night: +5…+10°C;
– during the day:
– in the western and northern regions: +2…+7°C;
– in the center, east and south: +10…+18°C;
– in the south of the Odessa region: up to +20°C.
The Ukrhydrometeorological Center warns of the possibility of thunderstorms in the central, eastern, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Odesa and Sumy regions. Heavy rains are expected in Transcarpathia and Prykarpattia.
The wind on this day will change direction — from southwest to northwest — at a speed of 7–12 m/s. In the Carpathians, Transcarpathia, and central regions, gusts may reach 15–20 m/s.
In Kyiv and the region on April 5, cloudy weather with clearings is forecast. No significant precipitation is expected at night, rain is possible during the day. Temperature at night: +3…+8°C, during the day: +9…+14°C. In the capital, daytime temperatures are expected to reach +12…+14°C.
Meteorologists also warn of possible climate shocks in the summer of 2025. According to their forecasts, the country will experience abnormal heat, downpours, thunderstorms, hail, and squalls. Due to hydrological drought, the situation with fires in ecosystems and a decrease in water resources may worsen.
