The State Tax Service of Ukraine has developed software that will allow for automatic writing off tax arrears from debtors' accounts.
According to Acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh, the new system provides for improved information interaction between the State Tax Service, the State Treasury, and payment service providers. This will allow for forced debiting of funds in electronic form through the National Bank's electronic payment system.
"When the system is operational, tax debts will be written off automatically, without additional intervention, in a fully digital mode," the tax office noted.
In addition, the State Tax Service, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, is working to expand tax services for citizens in the "Diya" application. It is planned to create a new service for property taxes, which will allow you to check tax objects - real estate, land or cars, verify data, receive assessments, see debts and pay them online.
Thus, the state is taking a step towards the complete digitalization of tax revenue control processes and simplifying citizens' access to information about their own taxes.
