On Saturday, January 4, after a large-scale cyberattack on state systems, Ukraine resumed the work of the State Register of Civil Status Acts (SCR). Citizens can once again register marriages, births, divorces and other acts of civil status.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice, from this day on, the DRATS departments resumed the possibility of entering data into the electronic register. Information on births, deaths, name changes and other civil status events can now be registered in full.
Documents issued in paper form during system shutdown remain valid. All of them are gradually entered into the electronic register. The Ministry of Justice also promises that their digital copies will soon become available.
Already on Sunday, January 5, it is planned to resume data exchange between DRATS and other state bodies, such as:
- State Tax Service;
- Pension Fund of Ukraine;
- Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In particular, this means the automatic transfer of data to these institutions, which simplifies bureaucratic procedures for citizens.
During Sunday, a number of electronic services in the Diya application will also become operational. Among them is the possibility of submitting an application for postponement of mobilization for parents of three children under the age of 18.
Previously, the work of three main notary registers was restored, namely:
- Unified register of powers of attorney;
- Inheritance register;
- Unified register of special forms of notarial documents.
The restoration of state registries is an important step towards stabilization after a large-scale Russian cyber attack. This allows Ukrainians to receive the necessary services without hindrance and ensures the reliability of state systems in the difficult conditions of war.
