Failures in the landing of drones have been recorded in Germany, where unknown drones are regularly observed over military facilities where the Ukrainian military trains. Despite efforts by the security forces of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), none of these drones have yet been successfully landed to identify their operators.
For the first time, such flying objects were discovered in October 2022, when drones were observing the training of the Ukrainian military. Since then, the situation has remained unresolved, even after efforts were made to use the HP 47's radio jamming transmitters for a forced landing. The effectiveness of these measures remains a question.
Markus Faber, a member of the Bundestag and a member of the defense committee from the Free Democratic Party, believes that the frequent cases of drone sightings near the training ground in Saxony, where the Ukrainian military is trained, are clear indications of organized activity that may be linked to Russia. Germany expresses suspicions, but has not yet been able to confirm this connection.
