Drone landing failures have been recorded in Germany, where unidentified drones are regularly observed over military facilities where Ukrainian military personnel are training. Despite attempts by security forces in the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), none of these drones have yet been successfully landed to identify their operators.
The first such flying objects were detected in October 2022, when drones were monitoring Ukrainian military training. Since then, the situation has remained unresolved, even after attempts to use HP 47 jamming transmitters to force a landing. The effectiveness of these measures remains in question.
Markus Faber, a Bundestag member and member of the defense committee for the Free Democratic Party, believes that frequent sightings of drones near a training ground in Saxony where Ukrainian soldiers are trained are clear evidence of organized activity that could be linked to Russia. Germany has expressed suspicions but has not yet been able to confirm this connection.
