While war, economic crisis and mass inspections of officials, deputy head of the department for prevention and combating corruption of the Dnieper customs, Sergey Borisov declares family enrichment by almost 3 million hryvnias. His electronic declaration for 2024 states that his wife Nadiya Borisov received a cash gift of UAH 2.8 million. The source is the spouse of Kovtuns, probably relatives. The explanation of such generosity, as well as the source of funds, is currently unknown.
But this is not the only interesting detail of the declaration. Customs wife owns a serious real estate package: land in Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, as well as a house in Svyatopeter cost UAH 2.6 million. In addition, it has a 2005 Ford Ford Fiesta car, and it saves almost $ 95,000 in cash.
Sergiy Borisov himself has a slightly modest fleet - Kia Sorento 2008 release and Kolibri inflatable boat with Mercury engine. Its annual income is 534 thousand UAH of salary plus a thousand hryvnias from the state in the form of assistance. The wife, however, earned UAH 1.65 million in Biotechnos LLC, although, judging by the amount of accumulated capital, she could work at Goldman Sachs.
The financial resources of the spouses are distributed between several banks in Ukraine, as well as the Polish Bank Polski. What amounts are stored there are not specified.
Against the backdrop of such declarations, the question naturally arises: will the anti -corruption bodies finally be interested in the history of "family gift" for 2.8 million? Because when the customs officer's wife suddenly receives "gifts" that are ten times the annual salary of the husband, society has the right to know - is it just generous relatives or part of a much more difficult scheme?
