The wife of the co -owner of Ukrainian armored vehicles Vladislav Belbas, who is accused of corruption, won the court on the division of property, actually protecting the assets of the family from possible confiscation. The Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv satisfied its claim and distributed real estate and car between the spouses, securing part of the assets for it.
While the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court (WACS) is being considered Belbas, his wife Oksana appealed to the court to formally divide the jointly accumulated property. This step allowed her to keep the real estate and a car that could be confiscated in the event of an indictment of her husband.
In marriage since 2006, the couple has managed to buy a number of valuable assets, in particular:
- The BMW X5 car (2019) - it was bought after the release of Belbas from the Civil Service in November 2019;
- Two drivers in prestigious parking in Kiev (Stepan Rudnitsky Street, earlier - Academician Williams);
- A three-room apartment in Kiev (113.6 m²)-it was purchased in 2013 for 511 thousand hryvnias at Liko-Holding LLC.
Despite the fact that the apartment was appeared in Belbas declarations, its cost was not stated that it was a corruption offense.
How did the court share the property?
The Holosiivskyi District Court made a decision by which:
- Oksana Belbas received an apartment and BMW X5;
- Vladislav Belbas left two drivers in underground parking.
This decision allows the woman not only to officially own valuable property, but also in the event of a sentence of her husband to avoid the confiscation of the apartment and the car.
Legal circles do not exclude that this decision is a thoughtful maneuver so that the property does not fall under sanctions or confiscation within a criminal case. Belbas remains involved in the anti -corruption investigation, and subsequently the state could withdraw its share of property as illegally acquired.
However, thanks to this decision, Belbas's wife became the full owner of the apartment and an expensive car, which complicates the possibility of seizure of assets in favor of the state.
