DTEK energy company makes an important statement regarding a possible power outage in the capital and Kyiv region. The company's CEO, Dmytro Sakharuk, commented on a national telethon, noting that the company had been preparing for possible attacks on the power system in winter since April 2023.
According to Sakharuk, additional spare parts have been prepared for the rapid repair of power facilities. The process of restoring power supply involves the use of backup circuits, followed by repairs to ensure reliable power supply.
Also an important element of the preparation was the conduct of scheduled and emergency repairs of power units of thermal power plants, as well as the readiness of crews and equipment to replace damaged equipment. Sakharuk noted that last year's experience confirmed the effectiveness of this preparation, allowing for the rapid restoration of power supply in the capital and Kyiv region within a few hours.
