DTEK announced a possible power cut in the Kyiv region: details

The energy company DTEK makes an important statement regarding a possible power outage in the capital and on the territory of the Kyiv region. The general director of the company, Dmytro Sakharuk, made a comment on the air of the national telethon, where he noted that the company had already been preparing for possible attacks on the power system in winter since April 2023.

According to Saharuk, additional spare parts were prepared for quick repair of energy facilities. The power restoration process involves the use of backup circuits and then repairs to ensure reliable power supply.

Also, an important element of preparation was carrying out planned and emergency repairs of power units of thermal power plants, as well as the readiness of crews and equipment to replace damaged equipment. Sakharuk noted that last year's experience confirmed the effectiveness of this preparation, allowing to quickly restore electricity supply in the capital and Kyiv region within a few hours.
