A fatal traffic accident occurred in the Lviv region: on the evening of June 22, in the village of Verkhnya Yablunka, Borynska community, a woman driving a Volkswagen Passat B7 lost control and drove off the roadway, after which she crashed into a metal fence.
According to the Civil Protection Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration, a 39-year-old resident of the village was driving. As a result of the collision, a 40-year-old passenger died at the scene. Another woman, 35 years old, along with the driver, suffered serious injuries and were urgently hospitalized.
Law enforcement officers are currently investigating all the circumstances of the accident. According to preliminary information, the version of speeding and loss of control over the car is being considered. A medical examination will also be conducted to determine the presence of alcohol or other substances in the driver's blood.
The tragedy has shaken the community: the deceased was a local resident, well-known in the village. Medics are fighting for the lives of other victims.
The issue of opening criminal proceedings into the fatal traffic accident is being resolved.
