Polish President Andrzej Duda said that in the war between Russia and Ukraine may not be a clear winner, since both parties, in his opinion, would eventually be forced to make concessions. He said this in an interview with Euronews .
“There should be a compromise. I mean that in fact, in my opinion, it must be acknowledged that none of the parties will be able to declare its victory in this war, because each party will in some sense will have something to yield, ”Duda said.
At the same time, he suggested that concessions may also concern the Ukrainian side. “Ukraine will also have to resort to concessions in a sense ... It will probably happen. But to what degree? I have no answer to this, ”the Polish President said.
Duda also suggested that the United States was playing a crucial role in the end of the war, and in particular, personally Donald Trump if he returned to power. In his opinion, only Washington is able to press effectively on the Kremlin.
"As of today, I came up with a clear conclusion: there is no one except the United States, who could stop Vladimir Putin ... Only US pressure can really put an end to this war and help in peace," Duda said.
It should be noted that Donald Trump himself has previously stated that the achievement of peace in Ukraine is its main purpose in the context of foreign policy. However, in public statements, he repeatedly evaded the Crimea clearly and emphasized that finding a common language with the Ukrainian side is more difficult than with Russia.
