In Kyiv, the case of two men accused of raping a 15-year-old girl and robbery has been brought to court. The incident took place in the capital's Pechersk, in an unfinished building where the perpetrators committed the crimes. The defendants, who are currently in custody, face up to 12 years in prison.
Under the procedural guidance of the juvenile prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office and the Pechersk District Prosecutor's Office of the city, an indictment was sent to the court accusing two men of rape and robbery, committed repeatedly by a group of persons under martial law (Part 3 of Article 152, Part 4 of Article 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that two previously convicted men - 41 and 29 years old in the unfinished building in Pechersk, with the use of threats and violence, committed acts of a sexual nature against a 15-year-old girl. After that, they took her "iPhone 12" mobile phone. The perpetrators were detained.
It is noted that the 29-year-old man has been convicted of theft 5 times by the courts of the Luhansk region since 2011. His 41-year-old accomplice was convicted in Donetsk region for robbery and causing grievous bodily harm.
Currently, at the request of juvenile prosecutors, the suspects are being held without bail. They face up to 12 years in prison.
