The director of the enterprise was informed about the suspicion of supplying low-quality sleeping bags for the armed forces

The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) together with the National Police reported suspicion to the director of an enterprise in Kryvyi Rih, which in 2023 supplied 20,000 low-quality sleeping bags for one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Their value was 30 million hryvnias, but the examination established that the goods did not meet the technical requirements, which prevented them from being used for their intended purpose.

In particular, according to the conclusion of the examination, the composition of the fabric did not meet the stated requirements, the sleeping bags also did not have mandatory elements: a lining made of fleece and a layer of special fabric that does not allow air to pass through.

The investigation is currently ongoing. The circumstances of the possible involvement in a criminal offense of officials of the military unit are being checked.
