On the evening of June 21, an extremely alarming incident occurred in Hnivan (Vinnytsia region): a 13-year-old teenager received a strong electric shock while on the roof of a freight train.
As reported in the Main Directorate of the SES in Vinnytsia region, at the time of arrival of rescuers the child was already lying between the tracks. Together with police, emergency officers promptly pulled the victim and handed it to the doctors.
The teenager was taken to the center of thermal trauma and plastic surgery in the Vinnytsia Regional Hospital. Doctors are fighting for his life, but the extent of the lesions is not disclosed.
Rescuers urge parents and teenagers to be careful and emphasize that rail infrastructure is not a place for games. The contact network is under a voltage of tens of thousands of volts, and even without direct contact, the current can affect a person at a distance.
“Such cases are not uncommon in the summer. Teens often perceive wagons as entertainment sites without realizing the deadly danger , ”the SES emphasizes.
