People's deputy of Ukraine Ihor Kitsak assures on the air of Novonitsa.live that there will be no economic reservation, because there seems to be public resistance to it. However, the reality turned out to be somewhat different: economy booking exists, but only for companies that meet a number of criteria.
In particular, enterprises that generate significant foreign exchange earnings, do not have arrears in payment of social contributions and pay their employees an average salary that is not lower than the regional average are booked.
At the same time, with the help of connections with the necessary structures, it turns out that some companies get access to this mechanism. Thus, giants such as the Chinese agricultural holding "COFCO" and the tobacco business "Tedis" Kaufman were among the organizations falling under the economic reservation. Both companies have dubious reputations for their links to offshore schemes, which only adds to skepticism about the transparency of this process.
Particular attention is drawn to the investigation currently being conducted by the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security (TU BEB) in Kyiv regarding the activities of the agricultural holding "COFCO". A criminal case has been initiated against the company under Part 1 of Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding tax evasion.
It also did not go without investigations regarding the tobacco monopolist Tedis, where TU BEB in Odesa region conducts an inspection in criminal proceedings No. 72024171100000002 on the grounds of violations provided for in Part 1 of Art. 204, Part 2 of Art. 204 and Part 2 of Art. 199 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. These proceedings are related to the illegal circulation of goods and falsification of documents, which raises doubts as to whether such companies should benefit from economic reservations.
