The Vinnytsia City Court sentenced former People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev, who after the Revolution of Dignity in 2014 openly sided with the Russian Federation. He was found guilty of treason and sentenced to 8 years in prison.

According to the prosecutor's office, he was found guilty of financing actions aimed at changing the borders of the territory and the state border of Ukraine.

In Ukraine, all his property worth 460 million hryvnias will be confiscated:

- a plot of land with an area of 0.15 ha in the Kyiv region;
- an apartment in Dnipro.
- real estate objects in the annexed Crimea: hotel and sanatorium complexes, dormitories, industrial premises, farm buildings.
