The DFS exiter will be tried for abuse that costs hundreds of millions of budget

The National Anti -Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office have completed a pre -trial investigation into the former first deputy head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Sergei Bilan. He is charged with abuse of office, which has caused more than UAH 641 million to the state.

According to the NABU and SAP press service, the indictment was transferred to court.

According to the investigation, in June 2017, Bilan intentionally did not sign a decision on consideration of the complaint of one of the taxpayers. As a result, the complaint was automatically satisfied - in favor of the company, which led to the loss of the right to recover tax liabilities and penalties for a large amount.

The investigation believes that the extent deliberately delayed the decision, creating the visibility of the impossibility of signing, despite the fact that he was the sole authorized official.

On February 25, 2025, Bilan was suspected under Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or office, which caused grave consequences). The sanction of the article provides for up to six years in prison, as well as a possible deprivation of the right to occupy positions up to three years and a fine.

Sergiy Bilan held the position of deputy chairman of the State Fiscal Service from 2015 to 2019. Its leader was Roman Nasirov, who appears in several high -profile anti -corruption proceedings, in particular - on the largest documented bribe in the history of Ukraine (UAH 722 million) and abuse in the case of companies related to Alexander Onishchenko.
