The Office of the Prosecutor General reported the suspicion of the former director of PJSC “International Airlines of Ukraine” Yevgeny Dikhne and the company chief accountant in the case of deliberate tax evasion for more than UAH 344 million. This became known from the investigation materials.
It is about the events of 2017-2022, when UAA paid billions of amounts to Cypriot companies Brazaline Limited, Skyways Leasing Company Ltd and Goiania Comercio e Service Internacionais ADA. used the rules of the Cypriot Convention on the avoidance of double taxation - and instead of the legal 10% of the tax repatriation tax used zero rate.
As a result, with a total amount of payments more than UAH 3.4 billion, the state has undergone at least UAH 344 million in taxes. The total losses were estimated at UAH 357.34 million.
Separately, the prosecutor's office reminded that the court had already arrested seven aircraft, including four Boeing 737 aircraft and three Embraer E 190, which belong to offshore structures.
In addition, it was found that the former UIA chief accountant is already wanted - he is suspected of stealing another 10 million hryvnias in conspiracy with the former Vice Vice President of the Company. According to the police of the Kyiv region, officials forged financial reports and hid the profits received within the framework of joint activity with a state -owned enterprise Boryspil Airport.
The funds that should be transferred to the State Airport were assigned through the accounting scheme.
