The State Bureau of Investigation has completed a pre -trial investigation into the former head of the Main Directorate of the State Fiscal Service in Ternopil region. The official is accused of receiving deliberately false information to the declarations for 2022 and 2023. The total amount of undeclared property exceeds UAH 23.4 million. The indictment has already been sent to court.
According to the DBR press service, the verification of declarations was initiated by the investigators themselves, and the detailed audit was conducted by the NAPC. As a result of the analysis in the declaration for 2022, "forgotten" property for more than UAH 13.7 million was revealed, and in the declaration for 2023 - another 9.7 million UAH.
These are two residential buildings - 290.6 m² and 64.6 m², as well as land under them. All of these objects were decorated for the mother of the extent, but in fact they were used by his family. According to the investigation, the official deliberately hid these objects, trying to avoid declaring.
The official denied his guilt and insisted that he did not use this property. However, investigators gathered evidence that indicate the opposite: in particular, the mother, whom the objects are recorded, have never confirmed the actual residence in homes, and the utilities and expenses were covered by the family of the person being personally.
In May 2025, the former taxman was informed about suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-deliberate introduction of deliberately false information in the declaration of a person authorized to perform the functions of the state. The sanction provides up to two years in prison.
The procedural guidance in the case is carried out by the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office. The court will decide the fate of the extent.
