Former head of the department of criminal investigation department of the Kiev region Vyacheslav Sizon, who was accused of creating an organized criminal group, avoided real imprisonment. The Court took into account the Agreement on the plea, sincere repentance and "active cooperation with the investigation" - despite the gravity of crimes, including bribery, excess of powers and drug appropriations.
The scandalous case began in April 2024 in Tarashcha. Then Sizon with two subordinates stopped the minor without a court order, threatened him and forced him to issue psychotropes. Subsequently, the substance was staged as allegedly found near the fire department. This episode was classified as an excess of office.
In the summer and fall of 2024, Sizon actually headed the RAM, which included his deputy and two more operatives. With the help of New Mail informants, police found drugs with drugs, detained recipients and demanded bribes in them for avoiding liability. For example, in June in Bucha they received from one of the victims $ 3.5 thousand and UAH 7.5 thousand, and in August - $ 2.8 thousand and 8 thousand UAH.
The culmination was the operation on September 18 in Kiev, during which the group appropriated drugs and cash - $ 7.4 thousand and 33 thousand UAH.
Sizon was accused of several articles: Part 3 of Art. 365, Part 3 of Art. 368, Part 3 of Art. 308 of the Criminal Code. But on June 30, 2025, he concluded an agreement with the investigation, pleaded guilty, and gave offs.
Given the presence of a minor child, repentance, prior imprisonment (from September 18 to November 14, 2024) and the pledge by relatives, which will be sent for the needs of the Armed Forces, the court imposed a punishment below for a minimum: 5 years conditionally with a probationary period of 3 years and a ban on holding law enforcement.
