Ex-National Deputy Boryslav Bereza, who was previously accused of evading military service, was caught manipulating his status as an evader. As the media reports, Bereza, who left Ukraine, was unable to provide convincing evidence of his innocence and the legality of his stay abroad.
Former People's Deputy Boryslav Bereza left Ukraine in March through the "Starokazache" crossing point with Moldova and never returned. This is stated in the investigation of the "Law and Business" publication.
"For the past six months, he persistently positioned himself in social networks as being in Ukraine, creating the impression of direct participation in the defense of the country. But in fact, Bereza fled Ukraine during the war, although at the same time he promotes patriotism and the need to protect the Motherland in social networks, the accounts in which he maintains, as it turns out, from abroad," the publication notes.
Journalists insist that Bereza provide at least some evidence that refutes his departure abroad. But the ex-National Deputy could not do this. He tried to justify himself by publishing his supposedly fresh photo next to the sign of the Dniprovsky District TCC in Kyiv, but later very quickly deleted it.
And on September 1, Bereza again published a photo - this time in a military uniform with a machine gun and a caption that "On September 1, there was such a thing in life." But attentive readers caught his manipulation: they drew attention to the fact that the photo shows tulips and daffodils, which definitely do not bloom in September.
At the same time, sources confirm that Bereza, in addition to the Ukrainian one, also has an Israeli passport, which he received in 1993, when he lived in Israel.
There is also data that in 2022-2024 Bereza's family (wife, children and mother) left Ukraine at different times. He himself crossed the border 21 times during the 2.5 years of the war, until he finally left.
The publication notes that if Bereza intends to run for parliament again, he has about 30 days left to return to Ukraine.
According to the media, as a people's deputy, Bereza hid his wealth: elite real estate was registered for his wife at prices several times lower than market prices. In particular, an apartment in Kyiv with an area of almost 300 square meters. meters, warehouse and other real estate.
In 2008, a house in Kyiv region with a total area of 91.2 square meters was arranged for the ex-Deputy himself. m., and in 2021 – the Audi Q7 car.
It will be recalled that in 2022, the ex-Deputy of People's Republic refused to sign the subpoena and called the police. And later he hid in a women's monastery.
According to the media, Bereza is part of the so-called pool of bloggers of ex-president Petro Poroshenko, whose children are hiding from serving in the army in London. Poroshenko's lawyer Ihor Golovan, his brother and son are also avoiding mobilization.
