Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation have completed a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings regarding treason against former People's Deputy of Ukraine from the banned political party "OPZZH" Vadym Rabinovych.
The indictment was sent to the court. The deputy disseminated anti-Ukrainian propaganda information . Vadym Rabinovych, in his numerous speeches and interviews, published manipulative statements that harmed the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability, state, economic and information security of Ukraine.
His propaganda activities helped the leadership of the Russian Federation achieve its military-political goals and provided the Russian Federation with ideological assistance in carrying out subversive activities against Ukraine.
The former People's Deputy of Ukraine was notified of suspicion of high treason (Part 1, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) in July 2023. The notification of the suspicion was made by sending a corresponding request for international legal assistance to the State of Israel.
The sanction of the article provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property . On August 1, the Pecherskyi Court of Kyiv granted the request of the investigator of the State Bureau of Investigation and chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the former people's deputy.
According to the investigation, he is currently hiding abroad.
