NABU and SAPO have repeatedly reported suspicions to former MP from the Opposition Bloc faction Oleksandr Dolzhenkov of illegally receiving over UAH 700,000 in compensation for renting housing in Kyiv. The suspicion was previously dismissed by the court.
This is reported by "Word and Deed".
As is known, the anti-corruption court canceled the suspicion of ex-MP Dolzhenkov. However, NABU detectives and prosecutors decided to re-serve the suspect politician. He was summoned to the authorities to serve the notice of suspicion, but Dolzhenkov did not appear due to illness. Therefore, the document was served on him in absentia.
In addition, the former deputy was summoned to the NABU on January 24, 25, 26, and 29 for questioning as a suspect and serving a petition for the imposition of a preventive measure.
As a reminder, in January 2023, the NABU and SAPO completed the investigation into the case of former People's Deputy Dolzhenkov. According to the investigation, from April 2015 to December 2018, the specified person illegally received compensation for housing rental from the budget of the Verkhovna Rada Apparatus, which was assigned to people's deputies who did not have their own housing in the capital. The deputy hid the presence of his own apartment in Pechersk and for almost two and a half years illegally received 700.28 thousand hryvnias on his card. Only after the release of the journalistic investigation of the "Schemes" program did the deputy refuse to receive these payments.
