NABU and SAP have again informed about the suspicion that former People's Deputy from the "Opposition Bloc" faction, Oleksandr Dolzhenkov, illegally received more than UAH 700,000 in compensation for renting an apartment in Kyiv. Earlier, the court canceled the suspicion.

As you know, the anti-corruption court overturned the suspicion of ex-National Deputy Dolzhenkov. However, NABU detectives and prosecutors decided to re-hand the suspected politician. He was summoned to the authorities to hand over a notice of suspicion, but Dolzhenkov did not appear due to illness. Therefore, the document was handed to him in absentia.
In addition, the former deputy was summoned to the NABU on January 24, 25, 26 and 29 for questioning as a suspect and to serve a petition for a preventive measure.
We will remind you that in January 2023 NABU and SAP completed the investigation into the case of ex-National Deputy Dolzhenkov. According to the investigation, from April 2015 to December 2018, the specified person illegally received compensation from the budget of the Verkhovna Rada Apparatus for renting housing, which was assigned to people's deputies who did not have their own apartments in the capital. The deputy hid the existence of his own apartment in Pechersk and illegally received 700.28 thousand hryvnias on the card for almost two and a half years. Only after the release of the journalistic investigation of the "Scheme" program, the deputy refused to receive these payments.
