The new system of power outage schedules in Ukraine will not lead to an increase in the total amount of available energy for consumers. This was stated by energy expert Yuriy Korolchuk, explaining that the main purpose of such shutdowns is not to expand the volume of supply, but to ensure an operational response to emergency situations in the energy system.
According to Korolchuk, the new shutdown schedules were developed taking into account the need for prompt response to unforeseen situations when the power system needs emergency assistance to restore normal operation. He emphasized that the amount of available electricity will remain the same as before, and the total volume of electricity supply will not be affected.
"That is, everything will depend on the current load on the system, and in principle, the goal is only to respond more promptly to potential emergency cases. This will reduce the time it takes to restore power supply after accidents, but will not change the amount of available electricity for the population," the expert explained.
Thus, the new system of disconnections will not lead to an improvement in the general situation with electricity supply, but it will contribute to better management of energy resources in crisis situations.
