Former Deputy Chairman of the Kherson City Military Administration (KMVA) Yaroslav Yakovlev published a declaration for 2024, which aroused considerable public interest. According to the document, the official received 1.3 million UAH of salary, has 484 thousand UAH of savings and $ 60 thousand in cash.
As early as 2022, the Yakovlev family lived only for payments for internally displaced persons in the amount of 18 thousand UAH. However, in 2023 the situation changed dramatically:
- Yakovlev's wife declared 1.5 million UAH of income from business.
- The official himself received 285.2 thousand UAH of salary and 24 thousand UAH of social payments.
He spent less than a year as a deputy chairman of KMVA, after which in November 2024 he dismissed without explanation.
The official fleet of the official is modest - he owns Daewoo Lanos. However, his wife has three cars, the brand and the value of which is not stated in the declaration.
Yakovlev also owns a hydrocycle, the price of which can range from several thousand to tens of thousands of dollars.
Another detail is the apartment in Kiev, owned by his wife. At the same time, the declaration lacks information about its income, which raises questions about sources of financing.
In general, the document raises a number of questions, because over the last two years the family's wealth has increased significantly. However, there are no explanations about the origin of some assets, including the financial capabilities of his wife Yakovlev.
