Against the backdrop of deteriorating weather conditions, including lower temperatures and cloud cover, electricity consumption in Ukraine increased by 5% compared to the previous day. This creates additional burdens on the country's energy system, which already requires the implementation of an electricity economy regime.
“Today, November 8, as of 9:30 a.m., consumption levels were 5% higher than the previous day – Thursday, November 7,” the company reported.
This was explained by a decrease in air temperature compared to the previous day. As well as the establishment of cloudy weather in most regions of Ukraine, except for the southern ones, which leads to a decrease in the efficiency of household solar power plants
"During peak consumption hours in the morning and evening, there is a power shortage in the power system. Please do not turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 7:00 to 11:00 in the morning and from 16:00 to 21:00 in the evening," Ukrenergo emphasized.
Imports
It will take place throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 2,395 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 307 MW in individual hours.
