The wife of the former rector of the Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University (KhDAU) Yuri Kirilov, who was released by the Ministry of Education at the end of 2024, purchased an elite apartment in Kiev. The cost of new housing, according to open sources, is almost UAH 5 million.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to Yuri Kirilov's declaration for 2024.
The declaration of income, property and expenses, which Kirilov published on January 24, 2025 contains data on significant assets of the family, including apartments, land and residential building.
In particular, among the largest purchases in the year - an apartment of 67.5 m² in the capital, which in May 2024 was issued by the wife of Kirilov, Oksana Nikitina. In addition, the family has real estate in the Kherson region and another apartment in Kiev, purchased earlier for UAH 2.47 million.
In December 2024, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine terminated a contract with Yuri Kirillov ahead of schedule because it did not undergo a special check. The corresponding order was signed by the Minister of Education Oksen Lisovy, and since December 30, 2024, Kirilov officially left the post.
The expert does not agree with his dismissal and declared his intention to challenge the decision of the Ministry of Education and Science in court.
